We went to visit Ekko on Saturday and Sunday for a few minutes. On Saturday he was the most active and walking around a little at the hospital. He recognized us and wanted to go with us home.
His leg is still swollen from the surgery so it looks like Monday or Tuesday when he will come home. However, he will need to take it very easy the next few weeks. His recovery should be from 8-12 weeks.
We are planning on having a party to celebrate Ekko's return after he gains his strength back.

So glad to hear he is doing well. Once the medical end has been taken care of...all he will need is some tlc and lots of love to finish his recovery, sounds like you have that all waiting for him! He and his brother, are very special dogs. Very smart and very loyal. I wish for Ekko a full recovery and many years of a happy life with his "people".
Looking forward to the party! Dogma would be a great place to celebrate Ekko's return.
Today was a GORGEOUS day for pulling down Lost Dog fliers, and it gave me a great opportunity to do what I love: telling people about Ekko's return! People see you taking down fliers and want to know if it's because he is home now. Taking fliers down is MUCH more fun than putting them up!!!
Can't wait to meet the famous Ekko! :)
